2. Use of this website

You may use the Site for personal, non-commercial purposes: browsing our fleet and tours, reading our guides, and making a genuine booking.

You agree not to:

– Use the Site in any way that breaks Greek or European law, or that infringes the rights of others

If you believe any content on the Site infringes your rights, contact us at seascapeboatrental@gmail.com and we will review it promptly.

4. Accuracy of information

We work hard to keep boat details, tour descriptions, durations, availability, and prices accurate and current. Even so, information on the Site is provided for general guidance and may change without notice.

– Photographs are indicative. Boats, equipment, and interiors may vary in detail.
– Routes, stops, and swim spots described on tour pages are typical, not guaranteed. Sea and weather conditions determine the final itinerary on the day.
– Descriptions of beaches, caves, and destinations are provided as travel information. Conditions at these places change over time and are outside our control.
– Prices displayed in the booking system at the moment of booking are the prices that apply to your reservation.
If we notice an obvious error in a price or a listing after you book, we will contact you as soon as possible and offer you the choice of confirming at the corrected price or receiving a full refund of anything you have paid.

5. Bookings

**All boats and tours must be booked online in advance.** We do not accept walk-up rentals or same-day arrivals without a confirmed online reservation.

Bookings are made through the booking system on the Site. When you submit a booking:

1. You select your boat or tour, date, and time slot.
2. You pay a deposit of **30% of the total price** to secure the reservation.
3. You receive a booking confirmation by email.
Your reservation is confirmed only when you receive that confirmation email. A booking request on its own does not reserve a boat.

The **remaining 70% balance is paid on the day of your trip**, before departure. Accepted payment methods for the balance: All cards via Viva Payments, Revolut, Paypal. Cash Payments

By booking, you confirm that:

– You are legally able to enter into a contract
– All details you provide, including names, contact information, and number of passengers, are accurate
– You are authorised to accept these Terms on behalf of everyone in your party

6. Self-drive boat rentals

Our self-drive boats are rented without a skipper, under Greek regulations that allow the operation of specific small engine categories without a boat licence.

For self-drive rentals:

– The named person on the booking is responsible for the boat throughout the rental period
– Minimum age and identification requirements: 19 years
– You must attend the full safety and handling briefing before departure
– You must stay within the navigation area explained in the briefing and must not travel to areas that are excluded, such as open-sea crossings to other islands
– You must return the boat at the agreed time. Late returns may incur an additional charge.
– Fuel policy: fuel not includedย
– You may not operate the boat under the influence of alcohol, medication, or any substance affecting your judgement
– You may not carry more passengers than the stated capacity of the boat
– You may not sublet, lend, or transfer the boat to any other person
We reserve the right to refuse a rental, without refund, if the person named on the booking arrives visibly intoxicated, refuses the safety briefing, cannot provide the required identification, or is otherwise, in our reasonable judgement, unfit to operate the boat safely.

7. Private and skippered tours

On our private and skippered tours, the boat is operated by our own experienced skipper.

– The skipper has full authority over the vessel, the route, and all safety decisions
– Passengers must follow the skipper’s instructions at all times
– The published itinerary is the intended plan. The skipper may shorten, extend, reorder, or replace any part of it for safety reasons, weather, sea conditions, or port authority instructions.
– Duration is measured from the agreed departure time. Late arrivals do not extend the trip.

8. Weather, sea conditions, and cancellations by us

Safety comes before the schedule. If the port authority closes departures, or if wind and sea conditions make a trip unsafe or unpleasant, we will cancel or reschedule.

If we cancel a trip for weather or safety reasons, you may choose either:

– To move your booking to another available date or time, at no extra cost, or
– To receive a full refund of everything you have paid, including the deposit
If a trip is cut short after departure because conditions change at sea, we will offer a partial refund or a partial rescheduling proportionate to the time lost, at our reasonable discretion.

We are not responsible for other travel costs you may incur, such as flights, accommodation, transfers, or connecting activities, if a trip is cancelled or changed for weather or safety reasons.

9. Cancellations and changes by you

Cancellation policy: Read Cancelation Page

No-shows, and arrivals too late to complete the booked trip, are treated as cancellations without refund.

10. Your responsibilities on board

Everyone on board, on every boat, agrees to:

– Follow all safety instructions given in the briefing or by the skipper
– Wear a life jacket when instructed, and ensure children wear one as required
– Supervise children at all times. Children remain the responsibility of the accompanying adults.
– Behave in a way that does not endanger themselves, other passengers, our crew, other vessels, or the marine environment
– Respect protected areas, marine life, and local rules at beaches and anchorages
– Take all personal belongings with them at the end of the trip
We may end a trip early, without refund, if a passenger’s behaviour creates a genuine safety risk or makes the trip unsafe or unreasonable for others on board.

11. Health, fitness, and swimming

Boat trips involve boarding, movement at sea, and, on most trips, swimming from the boat. You should be in reasonable general health and comfortable in the water if you intend to swim.

You must tell us at the time of booking about any condition, mobility limitation, or requirement that may affect participation or safety, so that we can advise honestly whether a particular boat or tour is suitable.

Swimming from the boat is at your own risk and is your own decision. We do not provide lifeguard supervision.

12. Damage, loss, and security

You are responsible for damage caused to the boat, its engine, or its equipment by negligence, misuse, or breach of these Terms, including grounding, collision, or operating outside the permitted area.

– Damage caused by ordinary wear and tear is our responsibility, not yours
– Where a security deposit or damage waiver applies, its amount and conditions are stated at the time of booking
– Insurance cover, and any excess that applies, is explained at the time of booking
We are not responsible for personal belongings lost, damaged, or left behind, including phones, cameras, sunglasses, jewellery, and keys. Bring a dry bag for anything valuable.

13. Liability

Nothing in these Terms limits or excludes our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot be limited or excluded under Greek law.

Subject to that, and to the extent permitted by law:

– We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, including missed flights, missed transfers, lost holiday time, or lost enjoyment
– We are not liable for events outside our reasonable control, including weather, sea state, port authority decisions, strikes, power or network failures, accidents, or acts of public authorities
– Our total liability in connection with a booking does not exceed the total amount paid for that booking

14. Third party links and services

The Site may link to third party websites, maps, or services, and our booking and payment functions rely on third party providers. We do not control those sites and services and are not responsible for their content, availability, or practices. Their own terms and privacy policies apply when you use them.

15. Privacy

Personal data collected through the Site and the booking system is handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy and with the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and Greek data protection law. Please read the Privacy Policy at [CONFIRM privacy policy URL] to understand what we collect and why.

16. Reviews and user content

If you submit a review, comment, photo, or any other content to us or through the Site, you confirm it is your own, that it is accurate, and that it does not infringe anyone’s rights. You grant us a non-exclusive, royalty free licence to use that content to promote SeaScape Boats, including on the Site and on social media, unless you tell us otherwise in writing.

We may remove content that is unlawful, offensive, misleading, or unrelated to our services.

17. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time to reflect changes in our services, our booking process, or the law. The version published on the Site at the time you make a booking is the version that applies to that booking. The “Last updated” date at the top shows when the current version took effect.

18. Governing law and jurisdiction

These Terms, and any booking made through the Site, are governed by Greek law. Any dispute that cannot be resolved amicably falls under the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Corfu, Greece.

If you are a consumer resident in the European Union, you keep the protections given to you by the mandatory consumer law of your country of residence, and you may also use the EU Online Dispute Resolution platform at https://ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr.

19. General

– If any provision of these Terms is found to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions stay in full force.
– Our failure to enforce a provision at any time is not a waiver of our right to enforce it later.
– These Terms, together with your booking confirmation and our Privacy Policy, form the entire agreement between us regarding your use of the Site and your booking.
